The Japanese Tableware Series was designed by Sori Yanagi in 1975 and consciously created as tableware for Japanese cuisine. Like many of Yanagi's designs, the shapes and forms of this series have a playful yet elegant look. The symbol features overlapping circles inspired by the whirlpools of Naruto, Tokushima.
